Heesen has sold the first contract in 2018, a full custom 60-meter Fast Displacement steel hulled motoryacht for delivery in 2021. At 60 meters, YN 19360 – Project Falcon – is the largest steel yacht built by Heesen to date. Chris-Craft Will Launch a New Design at the Miami Boat Show

Chris-Craft has announced the world premiere of the Launch 28 GT at a press conference at the 2018 Miami International Boat Show. The Launch 28 GT is a new hull and an entirely new design for Chris-Craft. The new Launch 28 GT has a walk-through transom and reversible sun pad that moves forward and backward for lounging, or additional seating while underway. Dutch yacht builder AMELS announced a new order for a 78-meter AMELS Full Custom yacht (256 ft) by Espen Øino with the contract signed during the Monaco Yacht Show 2017. Wärtsilä informs it has been contracted to supply its Nacos Platinum integrated bridge system for two new mega yachts: one an 85 meter long vessel and the other 91 meters long, both being built in Greece. Oceanco Delivers 110-meter Jubilee

The 110-meter motor yacht Jubilee delivered last week by Dutch builder Oceanco not only features a particularly striking exterior profile created by Lobanov Design and a distinguished interior by Sorgiovanni Designs, but also is the largest yacht ever built at Oceanco and has the distinction of being the largest yacht ever built in the Netherlands. “Burgess introduced this project to Oceanco and we provided technical consultancy and project management as owner’s representative throughout the entire build process,” said Joe Cic, from Burgess.

Largest Ever Dutch-built Yacht Launched

Oceanco’s newly built mega yacht Jubilee, with exterior styling by Lobanov Design, grand interior by Sorgiovanni Designs and owner’s representation by Burgess, is the largest yacht ever built in The Netherlands. At 110m length over all, 16.4m beam and just over 4,500 GT, the head-turning yacht has a sleek and original elongated profile that flows elegantly from bow to stern; with no fewer than six decks, her progressively longer horizontal lines make Jubilee distinctive. Igor Lobanov has created a unique and architecturally challenging design which creates a visual effect of multi-level decks.

British luxury boat manufacturer, Fairline Yachts, has announced plans for its brand new Targa 43 Open, which will launch in Spring 2018. The new Targa 43 Open is the latest boat designed from a blank sheet of paper by celebrated superyacht designer, Alberto Mancini, for Fairline Yachts. The hugely successful partnership between the Italian designer and British boatyard, which began with the Targa 63 GTO, has created an instantly recognizable sleek hull shape with effortless styling, showcasing the future direction for Fairline Yachts.

British luxury boat manufacturer, Fairline Yachts, has announced it is launching the third variant from its popular 53 ft. range, the Squadron 53, at Boot Düsseldorf on January 21, 2017. The launch of the Squadron 53 will celebrate the British brand’s return to the Düsseldorf-based show after a five year absence, and follows this year’s hugely successful unveilings of the Squadron 65 Hardtop at Cannes Yachting Festival, and the Targa 53 OPEN at Southampton International Boat Show. Superyacht designer, Alberto Mancini, has added his design expertise to this new Squadron.

Fairline Releases Images of the New Squadron 53

British luxury boat manufacturer, Fairline Yachts, releases the first computer generated imagery of its stunning new Squadron 53. The boat, which is the third variant from Fairline Yachts’ popular 53ft range, will be launched at Boot Düsseldorf on January 21, 2017. Renowned superyacht designer, Alberto Mancini, has added his design expertise to this new Squadron. The boat is based on Fairline’s existing 53ft hull but features a new design from the deck upwards courtesy of Mancini, showcasing the future direction of Fairline’s exterior styling.

Superyacht Ulysses Equipped with 8 Heavy-duty Cranes

One of the world’s largest dedicated luxury explorer yachts, the 107 meter Ulysses, is equipped with eight PALFINGER MARINE cranes in total. Two heavy duty foldable knuckle boom cranes, four extension booms (type PK 90002 M) and two smaller compact cranes. In March 2016 the yacht was delivered to her owner. Ulysses is the first private superyacht undertaken by Norwegian shipbuilder Kleven and reaches a top speed of 16 knots. Ulysses can accommodate 60 guests over seven decks and offers amenities including a helicopter landing pad, helicopter garage and a swimming pool.

Brooklin Boat Yard Begins Custom 91-foot Sloop

Brooklin Boat Yard of Brooklin, Maine, has begun construction of a custom 91-foot cold-molded, flush-deck sloop for a repeat customer. The design is by Bruce Johnson and the Brooklin Boat Yard design office. The boat will take 18 months to build and will be delivered in the spring of 2018. The yacht is designed primarily for high-performance cruising along coastal U.S. waters. Featuring a completely flush deck, the yacht has an aggressively raked bow and reverse transom, teak deck and a varnished mahogany toe rail.

The newly renovated vessel Mozart, which began passenger service in July 2016, marks Crystal Cruises’ first venture into European river cruising. Before for the revitalized river cruiser Mozart set sail, Crystal Cruises contracted R&M Sea Level Marine to completely renovate all the vessel’s cabins, suites and the reception lobby. The refit took place from April 24 to July 6 in Linz, Austria. Designed by II BY IV Design of Toronto, renovations included completely redesigned accommodations with all new bathrooms and complete renewal of all furniture and finishes.

HH Catamarans Choose Vesconite for Daggerboard Bearings

In concert with the notion of luxurious performance, HH Catamarans utilizes a push-button control system to raise and lower the curved "C" daggerboards in their HH55 and HH66 models. The company chose Vesconite as its bearing material for the board trunks. The polymer provides exceptional low friction, and the strength and tight tolerances needed to ensure the foils remain rattle-free, whether up or down. Fitting a generator and its exhaust system into a new build or a retrofit can be challenging, especially in a confined engine room. Marine Exhaust Systems said it aims to solve the space problem with its new whisper-quiet Series 4 Thinline Wall Pack Generator Muffler. Damen’s New Yacht Range Sails to the Extremes

Burger Boat Signs on to Build Explorer Yach

Burger Boat Company has signed on to a project to build a custom 31.55-meter full displacement steel and aluminum Explorer Motor Yacht. The vessel's modern exterior design and contemporary interior décor were developed by designer Luiz de Basto of Miami, who worked closely with the owner to create an oceangoing, long-range explorer yacht for cruising and fishing the world's sportfishing hot spots, the shipbuilder said. Powered by twin Caterpillar C18 main engines, the vessel will have a cruising range of approximately 4,000 nautical miles at 9.5 knots.

MTU’s Yacht Products on Display in Southampton

Rolls-Royce is set to showcase MTU’s latest offerings for the yacht market, including propulsion systems, bridge components, automation products and service/support package, at the Southampton Boat Show from September 11-20, 2015. On display will be the new Series 2000 M96 yacht engine from MTU, part of Rolls-Royce Power Systems within the Land & Sea division of Rolls-Royce. The new power unit meets the U.S. EPA Tier 3 emission standard for leisure craft and offers improved acceleration capabilities and economical fuel consumption, according to the manufacturer.

Yacht Designers Join Forces

After achieving success from the public disclosure of The Belafonte a few months ago, the Milan-based design firm Federico Fiorentino decided it was worth taking the 50-meter concept a step further. As the yacht was perfectly suited to being coupled with the revolutionary Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF), Mr Perry van Oossanen invested time and resources in a preliminary study on The Belafonte. This in turn officially paved the way for collaboration between the Italian design firm and the well-known Dutch naval architecture firm.
