Heesen Sells 60m Full Custom Motoryacht
Heesen has sold the first contract in 2018, a full custom 60-meter Fast Displacement steel hulled motoryacht for delivery in 2021.
At 60 meters, YN 19360 – Project Falcon – is the largest steel yacht built by Heesen to date. Her clean and chiseled exterior lines are by Omega Architects, who have introduced an innovative design feature to embellish the profile: the bird’s wing. This eye-catching multi-faceted shape visually integrates three decks (main, bridge and sundeck) without interfering with the uninterrupted horizontal lines of the glazed windows. The result is a strong and muscular 60-meter yacht with a Gross Tonnage of 1,060GT. Floor-to-ceiling windows and aft doors coupled with lowered bulwarks ensure panoramic views and plenty of natural light flooding the vast interior.
Powered by two MTU 12V4000 M65L diesel engines, Project Falcon will reach a top speed of 17.5 knots, with a range of 4,200 nautical miles at 13 knots. Thanks to her Fast Displacement Hull Form she will be extremely efficient and seaworthy. She will be built according to Lloyd’s rules and regulations for the classification of Special Service Craft [+] 100A1 SSC Yacht G6, LMC, UMS.
Project Falcon pairs a highly distinctive character with Heesen’s heritage of sporty elegance. This pioneering Dutch shipyard had a record year in 2017 with six contracts sold, and Project Falcon is an exciting new addition that raises the bar for this fast-growing fleet.
