The first of two 24 m Custom Explorer Yachts is now ready for outfitting.

These two yachts may look different, but are in fact the same design, with an exterior customized according to the Owner’s preferences. The yachts are designed to be operated by only two persons in keeping with current trends towards short handed operation. This consideration is also reflected in the luxurious accommodation for up to 12 persons.

With reinforced steel hulls and aluminum superstructures the yachts will be able to navigate worldwide.

The hybrid propulsion system consists of diesel generators with batteries as an auxiliary power source. The batteries also enable the yachts to slip quietly into pristine places, manoeuvre and anchor without any harmful emissions or engine noise. As an additional feature, in order to save fuel when cruising at lower speeds, the hybrid system supports operating with one main engine only running both propellers.

These motor yachts are designed with a tender dock bay to allow the tender to be launched quickly and efficiently.

The yachts were ordered by Mr. Lars Thrane and Mr. Per Blinkenberg-Thrane, designed by KNUD E. HANSEN and build by Holland Jachtbouw. The yachts are due for delivery in 2016 and 2017 respectively.

The yachts will be classed by Lloyds Register of Shipping and will sail under Danish Flag.

These designs will be available for repeat constructions of similar yachts.
