Opportunities In Euro Market Lure Aussie Boaties
Local boaties are turning to the European market for pre-owned multi-million dollar luxury vessels because of a shortfall in quality high-end stock in Australia, according to a leading marine broker. Ray White Marine CEO Rick Rodwell said Australia’s shortage of late model luxury motor yachts with low hours had come about because of the GFC. “People weren’t buying new boats during and post the GFC, so several years down the track we are feeling the effect of that protracted lull in sales,” he said.

Sunseeker Launches Manhattan 53 in Australia
Sunseeker said it plans a powerful impact as it prepares to launch the Manhattan 53 for the first time in Australia at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, May 23-26. Recently winning the Award “Best Brand Presence In Asia” at the 2013 Asia Boating Awards, spokesperson for Sunseeker East Coast Operations, Mike Garrett, said he is thrilled to be bringing the latest in the range – the Manhattan 53 to the Show. Grand Banks Announces On-Water Display at Sanctuary Cove Show
Grand Banks will display the new Aleutian at the 2013 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show in May. The company’s on-water display includes a recently-arrived three-cabin 53 Aleutian RP model and a new 47 Heritage EU. The 53 includes the features and style of her big sisters, the 59, 65 and 72 and 76 Aleutian models. These include a full-beam master stateroom, the modified deep-V hull that performs at hull or planing speeds and ample power through twin turbo diesel engines - up to 715hp each in the 53. The 47 Heritage EU used the trawler-style design, common to many Grand Banks vessels.
