Dometic Electric Power Steering Earns RINA Certification
Dometic’s Vancouver facility has received RINA Approval and Certification for its Optimus 5000 Electronic Power Steering System (EPS), opening the door for growth in yachting and commercial marine markets.The Dometic Optimus 5000 EPS is engineered for inboard vessels ranging from 40 to 100-plus feet in length. Its manufacturer believes the Type Approval from the Italian classification group on the Optimus 5000 EPS for both pleasure and commercial vessels under 500 metric tons will positively impact on its marine business globally.

Keeping Cool: Dometic to Supply AC to Sunseaker
Dometic signed a three-year exclusive air-conditioning supply contract with boatbuilder Sunseeker. Under the new commercial agreement, Dometic will operate as the sole air-conditioning equipment supplier for Sunseeker’s model range from 50 ft. to 131 ft.Working directly with Sunseeker to design systems into new craft, Dometic supplies the OEM with three types of system that can be installed depending on the size and lay out of the vessel. These range from the self-contained direct expansion system, to the split-gas direct expansion system, up to the high-capacity chilled water systems ideal for superyachts.

Beta Test for Improved Dometic Titan Chiller
Dometic Marine has announced the release of a recent beta test for the Dometic Titan Chiller with new titanium tube condenser. The four-month test, on the 88-foot Hatteras yacht Esprit D’IV in the Chesapeake Bay, showed that the new titanium condenser stands up to frequent harsh cleaning and high water velocity far better than traditional condenser metals. Dometic Marine, a division of Dometic Group, a global provider of leisure products for the marine, truck, RV and automotive markets, announced it will showcase its new XTC-ZTC Double-Pass Watermaker at the International Boatbuilders’ Exhibition and Conference (IBEX), Sept. 15-17 in Louisville, Ky. New STS900 Chiller Delivered to Trinity Yachts
Dometic Marine, a division of Dometic Group, has signed an agreement with Trinity Yachts, LLC to provide the high-capacity Dometic STS900 chiller for Trinity’s TO62 vessel, a 194-foot superyacht. The new STS900 is a chiller for yachts up to 200 feet, providing 75 tons of cooling capacity and 75 kilowatts of heat. It offers advanced features to adjust to extreme seawater temperatures, regulate water flow through the system, reduce stress on the boat generator, simplify maintenance and ensure optimal operation.

Dometic Group has entered into an agreement with Marvair to procure a significant parts inventory and provide product support and warranty service for all Marvair Marine pleasure craft products on a world-wide basis. In addition, Dometic has procured an inventory of Marvair products which will be offered for sale, while supplies last.
