Dometic Sea Xchange SE600Z Watermaker

Dometic Marine, a division of Dometic Group, a global provider of leisure products for the marine, truck, caravan, motor home and automotive markets, has announced that it will be showcasing the Dometic Sea Xchange line of watermakers and the Eskimo Ice fish box ice-making systems at the United States Sailboat and Powerboat Showsin Annapolis, Md. this month.

Dometic Marine’s featured products at both shows will be the Sea Xchange SE Series, a seawater reverse osmosis water purification system that is ideal for recreational boaters, and the Eskimo Ice 540, which produces up to 540 pounds (245 kg) of fish box ice per day.

Dometic Sea Xchange watermaker systems use reverse osmosis to turn seawater into fresh, drinkable water, allowing boat owners to keep their water tanks filled to capacity without having to load and transport extra water supplies. The Sea Xchange SE Series provides an output of 350 gallons per day (1,325 liters/day) to 800 gallons per day (3,028 liters/day), creating water that is ideal for drinking, cleaning, ice-making and external boat washdowns. For boaters needing larger volumes of water, ask about the Sea Xchange SX Series, which provides an output of 600 GPD (2,271 LPD) to 2,200 GPD (8,328 LPD).

Sea Xchange product water complies with the World Health Organization standard for potable water (less than 500 ppm of total dissolved solids).

For freshwater purification, ask about the Spot Zero Double Pass, a reverse osmosis system designed to process not only dock water, but also product water produced by an onboard seawater reverse osmosis system, such as the Dometic Sea Xchange. The Double Pass system reduces parts per million (PPM) of total dissolved solids from 200-500 to about 20 PPM. The Double Pass makes pure spot-free water a reality, not only while at a dock but also offshore.

“The Dometic reverse osmosis water purification systems dramatically increase security, comfort, safety and convenience for boat owners and their passengers, whether they are out at sea or docked in a marina,” said Ken Taranto, VP, Aftermarket Sales for Dometic. “The Sea Xchange and Spot Zero advanced water filtration technology not only produces exceptional drinking water, it also eliminates dissolved solids – protecting marine paints, coatings, finishes and hardware.”

For anglers and fishing boats, the Eskimo Ice 540 will also be on display. This compact unit with a small 16.25 x 16.25 in. (413 x 413 mm) footprint produces up to 540 pounds (245 kg) of ice per day to keep the fish box full and the catch fresh.

Dometic will exhibit the Sea Xchange SE Series watermaker and Eskimo Ice 540 at the Sailing & Powerboat Shows in Annapolis Cruisair Booth #A9 A11.
