Marine Travelift Inc. announced today that Jolly Harbour Marina in Antigua has purchased one of its new 75 BFM II mobile boat hoists.

This 75-ton machine was most recently on display at the Miami International Boat Show in February.

Located on Antigua’s leeward side, the Jolly Harbour full-service marina provides 155 new concrete berths, storage for 200 boats, a dedicated cradle yard, and large work area for engine maintenance and repair, yacht painting, carpentry, and duty-free fueling services. The facility lies just 20 minutes from the island’s capital city of St. John’s, and is near customs, immigration and Port Authority services.

Marine Travelift reported that the marina had sold its existing Marine Travelift 70-ton mobile boat hoist, which was manufactured in 1985, for what it called "top-dollar."

“For a machine to remain in excellent condition after 30 years of continuous use and regular wear and tear, Jolly Harbour clearly has put extra TLC into it,” Jason Johnson, Marine Travelift’s sales manager said. “That means the staff stayed up to date with routine maintenance, and they scheduled annual inspections with our factory-trained technicians.”

In an annual inspection, Marine Travelift technicians thoroughly analyze the machine and make recommendations for necessary service. Once the owner has followed through with that necessary maintenance and any scheduled repairs, the machine will be considered factory-certified.
