Bertram Restoration Shines With Quantum Custom Paints

A fateful meeting between Chris Sullivan of MacDougalls Cape Cod Marine Service and Tom Orr of Quantum Paint at the Newport International Boat Show last September began a collaboration that produced the unique, stunning custom Quantum hull color on the restored Bertram 31 you see here and the application of other Quantum topside paints on the cabin house/flybridge and deck. “We had worked with Quantum on previous paint jobs and were very impressed not only with the high-quality finish, but also with how easy it was to apply,” Chris Sullivan said.

Refits Completed at Feadship Preserve Brand Status

In addition to creating the finest pure-custom yachts, Feadship also has a thriving business in refitting Feadships for owners who require that their superyacht retains its brand status and be ready in time for the new season. Four iconic Feadships were recently delivered in Feadship-new condition and the variety of work on Aurora, Cipitouba (ex. Seaflower), Drizzle and Tatasu testifies to the endless options offered by the dedicated refit teams. Originally launched in 1992, the 50-meter Aurora has been maintained to Feadship standard throughout her life.

Feadship Looks Back at 2015 Launches

As 2015 draws to a close, Feadship can look back on a year full of launches. No less than six Feadships joined our globetrotting fleet this year, showcasing once again the diversity of the builder's custom creations. We start with the 57m Halo, outfitted in a record 33 months at the special request of the owner. A striking exterior profile and sensational sun deck made Halo a firm favourite among Feadship fans. The same applies to the 46.40m Kiss, with her exclusive owner’s deck and beautiful black livery, the most complex paint job ever undertaken on a superyacht.
