B&G, a sailing navigation and instrument specialist, has announced  the launch of the new ZC2 Remote Controller for intuitive command of on-screen navigation on Zeus2 series multifunction displays.

The B&G ZC2 Remote Controller centralizes navigational functions in multi-display environments. Featuring a multi-axis control rotary dial with up/down/left/right, rotate clockwise/counter-clockwise and press-to-enter capabilities, as well as a keypad and a dedicated button that cycles quickly through the available displays, the ZC2 is specifically designed to operate the latest functions on the Zeus2 family of screens.

The ZC2 can run up to six displays and can be used to control the autopilot via a network display efficiently and reliably in all conditions, regardless of the sea state. Purpose-built for intuitive operation, the ZC2’s integrated LED indicator lights clearly show the selected display number; the included cursor functions allow for easy on-screen navigation. Notification of vital information is also relayed by critical alarms using the built-in high-decibel speaker.

“Sailboat captains depend on many sources of information to make reliable decisions – from wind instruments and sonar to chart and radar displays – while operating our award-winning SailSteer and SailTime features,” said Leif Ottosson, CEO, Navico. “Our new compact and discreet ZC2 Remote Controller offers our customers a simplified and convenient way to control their navigational displays with a single hand, allowing them to focus on the task of sailing their yacht.”

The ZC2 can be optimally positioned horizontally or vertically to suit the owner, either neatly in a cockpit pedestal, by the chart table or other locations that are suited for either a portrait or landscape operation. Both versions support stylish dash-mounting with a slim 8mm profile and an optional bracket allows for a completely flush-mount presentation. To simplify wiring and installation, the controller is networked with a single NMEA 2000® connection for both power and control.

The B&G ZC2 Remote Controller is available today from authorized dealers worldwide and priced at $399USD.
