Dutch power solutions provider Victron Energy announced double-digit growth in the field of power solutions for the marine, industrial, automotive, mobility, off-grid and solar markets. The company, which celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2015, realized an annual growth of 12% in sales volume.

According to Victron Energy, the rise in sales can be explained by a number of factors such as an increasing interest in sustainable energy, the wish to reduce grid dependency and goals to reduce carbon footprints.

In the marine market, an increase in the sales of luxury sailing and motor yachts has been noted, and at the same time electric boating is gaining in popularity, stimulating the demand for state-of-the-art power solutions.

Customer trends are feeding the demand for innovative power solutions. Camping at remote locations or taking e-bikes when going on holiday with a motorhome for example, requires smart power solutions and charging facilities.

To meet these customer requirements, Victron Energy introduced several new products in 2014. Examples include four new BlueSolar MPPT charge controllers, a battery balancer, a series of Blue Power chargers, a Lynx Ion with a 350 or 600A Shunt and EasySolar. Also new functionality has been added to the Color Control GX (CCGX) and the Victron Remote Management (VRM portal), granting customers real-time insights into the details of their power systems.

Looking to 2015, Victron Energy forecasts a further increase in sales volume. To realize this, the company said it will introduce a range of new products and simplify its sales process with a new website and improved logistics.
