A combination of global expertise and local presence enabled Sperry Marine and Telemar Yachting to secure a landmark leisure sector contract despite strict travel restrictions during the Coronavirus lockdown.

With co-ordination between headquarters and local offices, the Sperry Marine network was able to support Telemar Yachting with sales support when tendering for a newbuilding to be built at the Crescent Custom Yachts of Richmond, British Columbia.

The result of this exceptional co-operation will see Telemar Yachting install Sperry Marine’s advanced VisionMaster Net integrated bridge system with Telemar Yachting providing the unique glass bridge interface, developed by Pariani.

The shipyard and owner’s representative recognized the combination of engineering expertise and aesthetic quality the partners brought to the tender, and received a valuable reference from the captain of the recently-completed MLR, constructed at Delta Marine Industries, Inc which features a similar system.

The glass bridge is the result of Telemar Yachting’s work with avionics company Pariani, based in Milan, to create a state of the art integrated bridge, providing navigators with a touch-sensitive interface powered by Sperry Marine technology.

VisionMaster Net is the first Sperry Marine bridge to offer complete connectivity between ship and shore and takes advantage of the latest advances in digital technology to radically redefine space and location requirements, making it a more ergonomic and user-friendly space for mariners.
