Outerlimits Powerboats has announced a major expansion for its brand: the all-new Outerlimits SX Series Center Console line.

This performance fishing boat line, designed to run with multi-outboard power, is set to launch with the new SX-39 Center Console in late summer 2020.

“For the past 25 years, Outerlimits has made its mark on the offshore racing circuit and the high-performance boat market with its fast, maneuverable, high-tech speedboats. We are the Offshore World Champions and also hold the current Kilo Record for World’s Fastest V-Bottom at 180.47 miles per hour,” said Jason Amaral, Outerlimits Powerboats operations manager. “Now, we have drawn on all that technological and design expertise to develop a premium fishing boat line. In fact, the first boat, the SX-39 Center Console, has a bottom similar to the one on our record-setting SV-43, incorporating the proven five-step FVS (Fiore Ventilated Steps) system that makes Outerlimits boats so fast, nimble and fuel-efficient.” He continued, “The FVS bottom on our boats was designed in-house by Mike Fiore, the late founder and innovator of Outerlimits Powerboats.”

The first new SX-39 is currently in the final stages of production at the Outerlimits factory in Bristol, R.I. The hull was built of epoxy resin-impregnated e-glass with carbon fiber reinforcements utilizing Outerlimits’ advanced vacuum-bag construction process.

The SX-39 is available with a triple or quad outboard installation up to a maximum of 1,800 horsepower from Mercury and other select brands. “Our primary engine supplier is Mercury, but we will also rig with other manufacturers,” Amaral said. “Triple Mercury Verado 300s will be a great package for this boat, getting owners out to the fishing hotspots well ahead of the rest of the fleet.”

The new SX-39 comes fully equipped with a long list of standard equipment and amenities, including a carbon-fiber T-top with full JL Audio sound system; dive door; console cabin with head, sink and V-berth; Garmin GPSMAP 1242XSV Touch multifunction unit; cockpit wet bar, and fishing features such as rod holders, two drained in-soled fish boxes and a built-in aft cooler.
