B&G, a manufacturer of instruments and marine electronics for sailing, has announced  a free software update for Zeus, Zeus Touch and Zeus2 Multifunction Displays. These updates add new features to the Zeus family of products and closer integration with the new B&G H5000 instrument system.

In addition to H5000 support, Zeus button-led units will gain the added benefits of FLIR camera and B&G ZC1 wired remote control integration. The ZC1 remote control unit can control up to four Zeus displays with Pilot control and MOB functions. On Zeus Touch touchscreen chartplotters Navionics chart features have been expanded to include shallow water highlighting and depth highlight range. For the Zeus2 line of products, chart functionality is enhanced and the update introduces support for C-MAP Tides and Currents.

“Software updates are a great way to share added value with our existing customers,” said Leif Ottosson, CEO and President, B&G. “We are constantly innovating and updating products to ensure that B&G users always have the best systems available to sailors, and all at no extra cost.”

The software updates for the recently released Zeus2 products are currently available; Zeus and Zeus Touch updates will be available this month.
