OceanLED Introduces New Leadership
OceanLED, the global leader in LED marine lighting technology, announced today that its U.K.-based manufacturing facility will be back to full capacity commencing Wednesday, just ten days after announcing its restructuring.
Derek Duffill, OceanLED CEO said, “We’ve worked tirelessly for the past two weeks and are pleased to announce that we have successfully re-engaged our supply chain.” Duffill continued, “Our entire production team will be working overtime beginning Wednesday in order to ship all outstanding orders to our world-wide network of resellers. With the 2014 boating season now upon us the first priority for the restructured team is getting product in the hands of our customers and building stock to support the anticipated demand.”
Derek joined OceanLED in January. His vast technical knowledge from having held a number of prominent roles in engineering and management, along with his wealth of experience in successful team building and increasing profitability, should prove him to be a valuable contributor and innovative leader for OceanLED.
Craig Allen, OceanLED’s new Operations Director added, “With the introduction of new manufacturing techniques and an increase in production capacity, full-scale product shipments will recommence from this week; delivery lead times will return to normal over the next few weeks with further improvements ongoing.” Craig is an experienced, degree-qualified manufacturing professional with a proven track record of delivering tangible and sustainable improvement in a variety of complex fabrication, assembly and continuous-flow environments. Craig’s previous roles include senior management positions in the automotive and energy sectors.
Kevin Joszko is OceanLED’s new Production Manager. Kevin has 20+ years experience in Manufacturing, Production and Logistics. Kevin will be key in providing training and development support to the production teams going forward. His proven abilities include a wide-variety of world-class production techniques including Kaizen, 5S & Standardized Work developed whilst at companies including Toyota U.K. and Bosch.
