A new vessel from Beiderbeck Designs: in Taiwan, the yacht designers from Bremen are using the technical platform of a 33-meter long Horizon motoryacht for its latest commission for an experienced German owner.

The customized 108-foot long double decker with its half-raised pilothouse (RP) on a tried and tested hull is already under construction and will be equipped with 2x 2,600 HP MTU-engines. This high-sea cruiser will enable passengers to directly experience the elements from every angle. The launch is scheduled for the start of 2017 and will be from the Horizon superyacht shipyard.

Lifestyle at sea is being interpreted through an innovative space concept, as the pilot still wants to feel like they are at sea, even when they are behind the wheel. The pilothouse is located half a meter above the fully glazed dining room, and three steps then lead to the owner’s personal suite located in the bow and extending over the whole 7-meter width of the yacht – offering panoramic views of the sea.

Through another gentle graduation of the owner’s bathroom toward the bow, the foredeck as a whole is sleek and gently sloping, leaving the skipper with a completely open view in the direction of travel. Leading off the bridge is a flight of stairs on the outer part of the flybridge, which is half-covered with a hardtop. A sitting area and padded sun loungers is located further aft.

The sense of wellbeing is also the focus on the main deck, the designers said. The generous saloon is also integrated into the concept of levels combining with one another, situated behind the slightly higher-lying dining area. Whether it is a romantic tête-à-tête or candlelit dinner for more than two: thanks to the parapet, which is just 60 centimeters tall, there is a comfortable view over the aft deck. A match between privacy and the feeling of being incomparably close to the environment, whether that is in a bustling Mediterranean port or a tranquil bay.

Both double staterooms are roomy designed for four guests in luxury. Another highlight is the spacious tender garage at the aft. This can also be used as a beach club with en suite fully fitted bathroom. The dinghy can be boarded and released into the water at the touch of a button via the lowerable bathing platform. It sits next to a hydraulic swimming ladder allowing guests to swim and to snorkel.
