Ribcraft Delivers Marina Operations Support RIB
D-Marin Business Bay Marina has taken delivery of a new Ribcraft 5.85-meter Pro rigid inflatable boat (RIB) to be used for operations support at the marina.Featuring a center console with extended canopy, removable crew seat, highly reinforced inflation tubes, the RIB provides open deck space for rescue operations, garbage collection as well as forward custom area for fitting a portable fire pump to be used in an emergency situation. Powered by Yamaha 115-horsepower outboard, the RIB can reach speeds in excess of 40 miles per hour, the builder said.

Strong Demand Helps Ski-Doo Maker BRP Shrink Its Loses
BRP Inc's net loss halved in the second quarter as the company sold more of its flagship Ski-Doo snowmobiles and Sea-Doo watercrafts. The Quebec-based company said strong demand for products such as the Sea-Doo Spark watercraft, Can-Am Spyder motorcycles and side-by-side off-roaders drove up seasonal product sales by 85 percent to C$259.8 million ($235 million) in the quarter ended July 31. Watercraft Thefts Sink by 6% in 2013
With summer and boating season just around the corner, the National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB) has released its latest report on watercraft theft and recoveries in the United States. The report examines watercraft reported stolen between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2013. The report draws from data contained in the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) database for all 50 states and the District of Columbia. Overall, there were 5,537 watercraft thefts reported during 2013, and that is a 6 percent decrease from the 5,870 thefts reported in 2012.
