RMK Merrill-Stevens Adds Boat Hoist

Snead Island Boat Works Acquires Ninth Travelift

Marine Travelift delivered a 50 BFMII mobile boat hoist (50 metric ton) to Snead Island Boat Works in Palmetto, Florida. This joins a fleet of four existing machines ranging from 15-75 metric tons and is the ninth Marine Travelift to call Snead Island home. Snead Island Boat Works is a family owned and operated business since 1936 and has seen the boat hoist industry evolve with each passing year. Boat Yard Marina Del Ray Adds New Hoist

Marine Travelift recently delivered a 100 BFMII (100 metric ton lifting capacity) mobile boat hoist to the Boat Yard of Marina Del Rey, Calif. The 100 metric ton machine is the fifth Marine Travelift to call the Boat Yard home and will allow them to open up a larger market segment along the California coast. “We purchased the 100 BFMII Marine Travelift in order to service the larger and wider vessels that call Marina Del Rey their home port,” said Greg Schem, President and CEO at Harbor Real Estate Group.
