ABT-TRAC, WESMAR and SmartCatch Form INOV8V Marine

Roger Fellows, owner of Western Marine Electronics (WESMAR), Arcturus Marine Systems (ABT-TRAC), and SmartCatch, announced Wednesday the formation of a new marine technology company, INOV8V Marine Group, encompassing all three legacy brands.Fellows says combining the three companies produces a more complete, higher-performing product line, with improved service after the sale.“Whether operating pleasure yachts or commercial fishing vessels, our customers demand performance, reliability and aftermarket support,” Fellows said.

ABT-TRAC Under New Ownership

California based Arcturus Marine Systems, known in the marine market as ABT-TRAC has been sold by company founder and president D’Milo Hallerberg to businessman Roger Fellows after 34 years.The sale was effective July 31, 2020, terms were not disclosed.Hallerberg founded the company in 1986 and built the company to become a leader in design and manufacture of bow and stern thrusters, roll fin stabilizers, and on-board hydraulic systems for pleasure yachts. ABT-TRAC, based in Rohnert Park, CA employs 47 people.Fellows also owns Western Marine Electronics Co.…

New Owner Takes Over at WESMAR

Bruce H. Blakey, founder and President of WESMAR (Western Marine Electronics), has sold his company to local businessman Roger Fellows, effective November 1, 2017. Blakey has sold the company to a new innovator whom he says is poised to take the company and its products to new heights. The name of the company will remain the same. Headquarter operations will remain in Woodinville, Wash. and employees will remain with the company, says its new owner and president Fellows. “WESMAR is impressive,” Fellows said.

WESMAR Equipped Megayacht to Debut at Monaco

WESMAR's At Anchor At Ft. Lauderdale

WESMAR (Western Marine Electronics) will feature their At Anchor digital stabilizer systems at the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show, Oct. 25-29, 2012, in Florida. The At Anchor technology is designed to monitor incoming swells and automatically control fin movement to reduce vessel roll up to 90% for luxury yachts, charter boats, super yachts, and commercial vessels. “The  At Anchor system changes the dynamics of roll fin stabilization by using advanced digital signal processing and a proprietary gyro to predict vessel behavior. The system memorizes roll characteristics of a boat in order to preempt rolling.
