Brooklin Boat Yard Begins Custom 91-foot Sloop
Brooklin Boat Yard of Brooklin, Maine, has begun construction of a custom 91-foot cold-molded, flush-deck sloop for a repeat customer. The design is by Bruce Johnson and the Brooklin Boat Yard design office. The boat will take 18 months to build and will be delivered in the spring of 2018. The yacht is designed primarily for high-performance cruising along coastal U.S. waters. Featuring a completely flush deck, the yacht has an aggressively raked bow and reverse transom, teak deck and a varnished mahogany toe rail.
BBY Debuts 65-foot Hunt-Designed Sportfish
Brooklin Boat Yard is introducing the design for a modern, cold-molded 65-foot sportfish motoryacht. Designed by C. Raymond Hunt Associates, the new yacht features Hunt's high-performing and stable deep-vee hull. Using Brooklin Boat Yard's wood-composite construction techniques, the sportfish will have serious offshore capabilities. This new sportfish design expands the range of Brooklin Boat Yard's current offerings to larger motoryacht designs. The Brooklin Boat Yard 65-foot sportfish has been designed to be strong and robust, comfortable and dry.
Brooklin Boat Yard Launches 49-foot Custom Yacht
Brooklin Boat Yard launched Dreadnought, a 49-foot cold-molded custom sailboat, on Monday, June 9. Designed by Jim Taylor, the yacht is a lightweight, performance-oriented sloop with a traditional aesthetic above the waterline and a modern underbody below. A repeat customer of Brooklin Boat Yard commissioned the yacht and now plans to sail and race her throughout northern New England. The new yacht is 49 feet overall with a waterline length of 35.1 feet and an 11.6-foot beam.

New W-class Yacht Designs
W-Class Yacht Company is expanding its family of yachts to include 100’, 123’ and 135’ models. The first of the new designs, the W.123', was developed by Bruce Johnson (formerly of Sparkman & Stephens) in collaboration with Rockport Marine Yacht Design.
