Raymarine’s Axiom Chartplotters Now Integrated with Rhodan’s Trolling Motors

Raymarine announced today its line of Axiom chartplotters are now completely integrated with Rhodan’s full line of trolling motors. Designed for boats ranging from a small skiff to a 42-foot center console, Rhodan trolling motors range in size from 12v up to 36v in a range of shaft lengths up to 108 inches.“Raymarine Axiom 2 Pro and XL, which were built specifically for the saltwater angler, offers the most extensive and easy-to-use Rhodan trolling motor control available,” said Jamie Dery, Vice President – Americas, Raymarine.

New Company: Lehmann Marine Offers COBRA Battery System

With the founding of Lehmann Marine, a subsidiary of Höpen GmbH, a new supplier of innovative maritime products such as the COBRA battery system has entered the maritime market in 2023.The COBRA (Compact Battery Rack) battery system, which is freely scalable and tailored to maritime requirements, has several references in the shipping industry for the hybridization or electrification of vessels. Initially developed by Becker Marine Systems, COBRA has now been incorporated into Lehmann Marine, which was founded on January 1, 2023.

ABT-TRAC, WESMAR and SmartCatch Form INOV8V Marine

ABT-TRAC Under New Ownership

California based Arcturus Marine Systems, known in the marine market as ABT-TRAC has been sold by company founder and president D’Milo Hallerberg to businessman Roger Fellows after 34 years.The sale was effective July 31, 2020, terms were not disclosed.Hallerberg founded the company in 1986 and built the company to become a leader in design and manufacture of bow and stern thrusters, roll fin stabilizers, and on-board hydraulic systems for pleasure yachts. After Irma, Golden Marine Systems Rebuilds Moss Marine

When Hurricane Irma tore through Florida last year, it left $53.4 billion of destruction in its path. Family-owned Moss Marine of Fort Myers Beach was one of the businesses devastated by the category five storm. Determined to rebuild its 49-year-old marina better than before, it chose Golden Marine Systems, a sister company of Golden Boat Lifts, to manufacture a state-of-the-art dock system.The project consists of installing 7,500 sq. ft. of Golden Marine Systems' 950 double and 850 single e-track docking.

Founder and President of Michael Peters Yacht Design to Give Keynote Address. On June 21 The Landing School will celebrate its 35th annual commencement, graduating 78 diploma students, a record high. Graduates in the Marine Systems, Yacht Design, Composite Boat Building and Wooden Boat Building programs will hear speaker Michael Peters, Founder and President of Michael Peters Yacht Design. Students and their families will also enjoy the christening of the boats built this year. The Wooden Boat Building program will christen three Flyfisher 22s and three Joel White Pea Pods.

The Landing School Offers Scholarship for Women

The Landing School announced the development of a scholarship specifically for women who wish to further their education in the areas of marine systems, yacht design, composite boat building or wooden boat building. This need-based scholarship is being awarded in $1,000 increments to five women annually. This is the first year the scholarship has been offered. The Landing School is looking forward to helping women further their education while supporting a growing demand for qualified employees in the marine industry.

Fenders are primarily designed to withstand the onshore motion of a ship against jetties, wharfs and quaysides by minimizing impact damage and withstanding parallel ship movements.
