Luxury Sailing Ship to be Powered by Ingeteam Electrical Equipment

The French shipyard Chantiers de Atlantique has selected Ingeteam to provide the electric propulsion for the luxury sailing ship Orient Express Silenseas.The ship has solid sails which make it the largest sailing ship in the world. It is one of two vessels that will emulate the famous Orient Express train, enabling more ecological and sustainable navigation via the latest marine technology.The ships belong to Accor Group under the Orient Express brand, and Ingeteam will supply two motors to drive the main propulsion plus the three transverse thrusters…

Provincetown Marina Second Phase Complete

1200 Ft of SF Marina Concrete floating breakwaters installed. The Provincetown Marina in Provincetown, Mass. recently completed the second phase of the new marina, which incorporates the massive SF Marina Systems Type 600 floating breakwater. The 20 ft wide floating breakwater is over 650' long has a 6 ft. draft at its deepest. The system is moored on 30 and 36 inch steel piles and has a freeboard of 25”. In total SF Marina delivered over 2,000’ of 14, 16 and 20’ wide docks and floating breakwaters.

AMI Presents Board of Directors at IMBC

The Association of Marina Industries (AMI) elected its 2017 officers and directors at its annual International Marina & Boatyard Conference (IMBC) held January 25-27, 2017 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Brad Gross, Certified Marina Manager (CMM) was reappointed Chair; Joe Riley, CMM of Windmill Marina Association, Inc. was reappointed Vice Chair; Chris Petty of Suntex Waterfront Management was reappointed Treasurer; and Chris Dolan of Marina Electrical Equipment, Inc. was appointed Secretary. This year, AMI welcomes one new member elected to the 2017 Board of Directors for a three-year term, Jason Johnson of Marine Travelift, Inc.

The Association of Marina Industries (AMI) elected its 2016 Officers and Directors at its annual International Marina & Boatyard Conference (IMBC) held January 27-29, 2016 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Brad Gross, Certified Marina Manager (CMM) of Dana Point Harbor was appointed Chair; Joe Riley, CMM of Windmill Marina Association, Inc. was appointed Vice Chair; Chris Petty of Suntex Waterfront Management was appointed Treasurer; and Mick Webber of HydroHoist Marine Group was reappointed Secretary. This year, five new members were elected to the 2016 Board of Directors for a three-year term.

ABB Power ETNZ Yacht Base in San Francisco America's Cup

Emirates Team New Zealand (ETNZ), twice winner of the America’s Cup, is taking on the grueling challenge once again at the Regatta this year in San Francisco. ABB, official supplier to the Emirates Team New Zealand, has supplied a PCS100 SFC (Static Frequency Converter) to power their base in San Francisco during the event. During a summer of racing from July 4th to September 21st, including the Louis Vuitton Cup, the Emirates Team New Zealand, headed by managing director Grant Dalton and skipper Dean Barker, will be based in San Francisco.
