Ingenity, a division of Watershed Innovation, founded by Correct Craft in 2018 to develop and incubate new technologies, is partnering with Lumitec to supply the primary lighting for its fully electric 23E production model.Launched at this year’s Miami International Boat Show and winner of an innovation award the Ingenity 23 Electric is a zero emissions, 100% fully electric day boat. Based on Ingenity’s patent-pending modular “skateboard” platform the 23E uses forward-facing sterndrive propulsion to optimize safety, performance, and low-speed maneuverability.

TorQeedo Powers Vantage Yacht Rentals
Vantage Yacht Club, a boat rental and yachting club operating from three different Chicago harbors, recently replaced the 16 stock batteries on the company's green picnic cruisers with four Torqeedo Power 26/104 lithium marine batteries. Last year, the company's forward-thinking owner, Jason De Palma, added the eight 22' electric picnic cruisers to his fleet of express cruisers, yachts and pontoons. Shortly after this investment, he discovered that the boats' original 16, 6V deep cycle marine stock batteries required for the boats' 48V DC motor couldn't keep up with his demanding rental operation.
$48M Navy Contract for Sub Maintenance, Modernization
The U.S. Navy has awarded General Dynamics Electric Boat a $47.7 million contract modification to perform routine maintenance and modernization work on the USS Toledo (SSN-769), a Los Angeles-class attack submarine. Electric Boat is a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD). Under the terms of the contract, Electric Boat will plan and perform a dry-docking selected restricted availability, which consists of maintenance work, alterations and modernization activities required to ensure the submarine is operating at full technical capacity. The work will take place at the Electric Boat shipyard in Groton and involve up to 300 employees.
