Avon (Zodiac Nautic Group) & Torqeedo launch the eJET 450, a 100% electric tenderAvon (Zodiac Nautic Group) together with Torqeedo has developed the eJET 450, a 100% electric tender that is designed to solve the problem and hassle for yacht owners of carrying fuel for tenders and changing oil.The electric tenders are equipped with a 55 kW Deep Blue electric motor from Torqeedo and the latest generation of automotive battery (30.5 kWh used in the BMW i3). The eJET gets 90 minutes of range at 23 knots (7 hours at 5 knots) and achieves a max speed of 31 knots thanks to its Hydrojet technology.

Torqeedo Acquired by DEUTZ
Independent engine manufacturer DEUTZ announced it has acquired Torqeedo, provider of electric drive systems for watercraft. As an independent subsidiary of DEUTZ AG, Torqeedo will continue product development under its established Torqeedo brand and with its current leadership. Torqeedo Opens Bangkok Office
Torqeedo said it has opened a new office in Bangkok, Thailand, to accommodate its rapid growth in Asia and the Pacific (APAC) region. The company reports an expanding focus on marine preservation, sustainable tourism, ecofishing and the electrification of commercial vessels have created a strong interest in its products by both public and private entities within the region.
