Caterpillar Marine has unveiled its second-generation Cat Marine Displays (CMD) used for monitoring all engine platforms, supporting different vessel applications for professional maritime use.The three CMD variants—Cat CMD5 (5” display), CMD8 (8” display), and CMD13 (13.3” display)—designed to provide operators easy access to current operating data and alarms for engines. The new displays are type-approved and environmentally sealed to be waterproof for a wide range of temperature operations.

Superyacht Latona to Premier in Monaco

New Grand Banks Motor Yacht Completes Sea Trials

Caterpillar Marine has announced the successful sea trial of the Grand Banks Yachts, Ltd. GB60-03 which is powered by a pair of Cat C12.9 supercharged and turbocharged diesel engines. GB60-03 has a length of 65' (19.9m), a beam of 19' (5.85m) and a draft of 4' (1.4m). During the successful sea trial, GB60-03 achieved a top speed of 33 knots. The common rail C12.9’s installed in GB60-03 are capable of delivering 1000mhp@2300rpm while meeting EPA Tier 3, IMO II, EU Stage IIIA and RCD emission requirements.

Rossinavi Launches Endeavour II

Italian yard Rossinavi has launched its new 49.9-metre superyacht Endeavour II during a ceremony attended by 300 guests and shipyard staff. Known as project FR032, the yacht is built entirely out of aluminium to a design by Team 4 Design. Featuring exterior styling by Team For Design, naval architecture by Arrabito and interior décor by Salvagni Architetti, this displacement yacht comprises a total volume of less than 500GT. Up to 10 guests can sleep in the yatch , as well as a crew of 9. Performance wise she is powered by 2 x CGT/Caterpillar C32 Acert engines providing the yacht a maximum speed of 16 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots.

Caterpillar showcases Cat C7.1 Engine

Caterpillar Marine is showcasing its Cat C7.1 Propulsion Engine at the 2017 Yachts Miami Beach show. Available in three ratings: 507 mhp (373 bkW), 456 mhp (336 bkW) and 406 mhp (298 bkW), all at 2900 rpm, all C7.1 power ratings meet EPA Tier 3, IMO II, EU Recreational Craft Directive and EU Stage IIIA regulations. The C7.1 is ideal for recreational boating applications, specifically smaller vessels and motoryachts ranging from 25 -60 feet in size. The engine features a common rail fuel system enabling optimum combustion and low emissions.
