Becket & Company, yacht management firm, represented the owners during the construction of the luxury motor yacht.

Tupelo Honey successfully enjoyed her maiden voyage to Newport earlier this Fall. Built by Hinckley’s expert Maine craftsman for very knowledgable owners already members of the Hinckley® family, she features design elements completely unique to any other yacht in her class.

Interfacing with Hinckley’s project manager, Matthew Swartz, Becket & Company advocated on the owner’s behalf throughout the build, documenting the process and streamlining communication with the client, their naval architecture and audio visual consultants,.

The owners hired the Robert Kach Group, in conjunction with naval architect Spyros Garbis, to design and construct a full-size mock-up of a custom salon and galley within the design constraints of Hinckley’s Mk II Talaria 55 layout. Hinckley engineers finalized the design, which features a raised seat box to port allowing for a light filled, spacious galley, a roomy bow-front chest of drawers to port in the salon, and a flamed cherry grain center leaf salon table mated to a fully telescoping pedestal allowing for berth, cocktail, and dining height.

The yacht is intended to “buddy boat” with the owner’s Westport 112’ in both New England and the Caribbean and as such features mechanical options enabling her to visit far flung anchorages with ease.

Becket & Company offers full-service, yacht management services to yacht owners throughout the East Coast from Maine to Florida. With more than 30 yachts under management, Becket & Company specializes in boats built by Hinckley®, Hunt®, Grand Banks/Eastbay®, Little Harbor®, and other custom and semi custom yacht builders.
