VesselVanguard, the popular cloud-based maintenance management service, announced today a new partnership with renowned trawler yacht manufacturer, Kadey-Krogen Yachts.

Adding value for customers by simplifying and streamlining yacht management, each new Kadey-Krogen vessel sold will be fully provisioned with a one-year VesselVanguard subscription—featuring a digital library of equipment manuals, a customized maintenance and inspection calendar for all onboard systems, and powerful functionality to track and oversee all service tasks. Kadey-Krogen owners will have information on their yacht’s systems at their fingertips, with timely alerts and emails to help them keep all systems running in top condition. The result is an exceptional boating experience, long-term satisfaction and increased resale value.

“Many of our owners are do-it-yourself types who enjoy maintaining their vessels on their own, while other owners prefer to work with service providers,” said Larry Polster, vice president, Kadey-Krogen. “Either way, VesselVanguard's thorough and easy-to-use system will seamlessly organize systems for simple and convenient management. Kadey-Krogen owners have historically realized some of the highest resale values in the industry and VesselVanguard will help them to ensure their vessel stays in top condition.”

Dedicated to simplifying the boat ownership experience and providing significant changes in the post-sale relationship for builders and customers alike, VesselVanguard removes the complexity of owning and maintaining a vessel. The solution meets the information needs of today’s busy lifestyle giving Kadey-Krogen owners a secure and comprehensive boat profile accessible from the cloud, anywhere at any time, by browser, tablet or smartphone. The profile contains all manuals in searchable form with current updates, warranty data, registration and insurance documentation, organized to the preferences of the owner.

“Kadey-Krogen is renowned for phenomenal performance at sea,” said Don Hyde, CEO, VesselVanguard. “The selection of VesselVanguard for enhanced vessel management is in keeping with the quality and excellence of their innovative trawlers—an exceptional testament to the advantages VesselVanguard provides. We are confident Kadey-Krogen yacht owners will enjoy the simplicity of the VesselVanguard boat management service and see it as an essential complement to their first-class vessel.”

Based on a vessel’s master equipment list, each VesselVanguard profile is programmed to provide timely notice of manufacturer-recommended maintenance and inspections. On a monthly basis, Kadey-Krogen owners and service partners receive an emailed Task Alert detailing the upcoming tasks, along with parts lists and other needed information. With the click of a mouse the owner can assign or reschedule tasks. When the work has been completed the owner or service partner can log the date of completion, upload the work notes, invoices and any photos or videos, and the VesselVanguard algorithm automatically recalibrates the Boat Profile to the next maintenance interval—whether based on hours of use, calendar days or both. As a vessel’s equipment expands, so does its VesselVanguard boat profile. The VesselVanguard Smart Calendar gives owners, captains and their service partners at-a-glance views of all required future maintenance by equipment group for any length of time. With this detailed information easily available, Kadey-Krogen owners can be proactive in resource planning and preservation of warranties—improving the vessel’s performance, enhancing its value, and enabling more time on the water.
