The Moorings Bolsters Fleet Investment

Yacht charter company The Moorings announced an investment in its global fleet.

The company informs it will invest over $50 million this coming year on new sail and power yachts destined for vacation destinations worldwide. Building on a $40 million investment from the previous year, The Moorings will work in close partnership with yacht builders Beneteau and Robertson & Caine to evolve its fleet of custom-designed sailing monohulls and catamarans, as well as its fleet of power catamarans.

A family-owned business in the British Virgin Islands under founders Charlie and Ginny Cary, The Moorings’ investment continues a long heritage of leadership in the yacht charter industry, which began over 45 years ago, the company said.

Launching this fall, The Moorings’ new 433 power catamaran includes a spacious master suite that fills the entire length of the starboard hull, a huge fly bridge and a convertible saloon that opens on to the cockpit and foredeck, creating a truly social environment for families and friends. The forward-facing lounge and oversized windows provide remarkable views.  Additionally, with twin 260hp Yanmar engines, the 433PC offers impressive speeds and fuel-sipping efficiency, giving charterers the independence to explore cruising ground highlights farther and faster.

Over the past year, The Moorings has also introduced the versatile 45.3 and 51.5 monohulls, the 514 power catamaran and the 4000 sail catamaran to its global fleet. The company has also expanded the presence of its flagship Moorings 5800 sail catamaran, available to bareboat with six double cabins, or with an all-inclusive package featuring a crew of three and all gourmet meals, beverages and water sports equipment included. With these new vessels, The Moorings offers a yacht selection for all tastes in more than 20 destinations worldwide.
