On May 13, the Professional Charter Association (PCA) celebrated 21 years of activity in true traditional style, onboard the classic English motor yacht, Seafin, kindly provided by Warwick Bergin, in the Solent on England’s South Coast.

Twenty PCA members joined together to toast the milestone with a splendid lunch and a special 21st birthday cake with candles and champagne. Combining elegance and class with the luxuries and amenities of modern cruising and chartering, Seafin provided a platform for members to reminisce and also to look forward.

Jane Gentry, CEO of the YBDSA, which provides the secretariat for the Professional Charter Association, said, “It was wonderful to see the members join together to celebrate this milestone in the PCA’s history. Spirits were high as we toasted 21 years of the Association and we all look forward to the next 21.”

The PCA was originally set up to allow charter operators to share information on MCA codes and today members enjoy supplier discounts and solid relationships with the Maritime and Coastguard Agency. Members strive to provide a professional service to their clients, across a vast range of sail and power vessels, of all sizes, within the U.K. and with some members also operating in the Mediterranean
