Nobeltec Releases New Navigation App for iPad
Nobeltec announced the official launch of the new Nobeltec TimeZero Marine Navigation App for iPad.
Nobeltec TimeZero App is designed for coastal sailors and features useful tools and data and makes navigation technology accessible to a wider audience, Nobeltec said.
This App is a much more compact, mobile alternative to our entry-level PC-based software, Nobeltec TimeZero Odyssey. Now sailors who do not have enough space on their boat for a PC, or who simply want a more affordable navigation tool, can enjoy the benefits of this iPad solution.
This App's chart engine is based on the TimeZero technology, allowing users to scroll, zoom and rotate the MapMedia Raster charts in no time, even in 3D.
Features include position on the raster chart, course (COG) and speed (SOG), routes and marks, track recording, real-time local weather and weather trends and navigation in 2D or 3D perspective.
According to Nobeltec, the App includes the most advanced and accurate marine data for the iPad on the market: Raster mm3d MapMedia charts, high resolution satellite photos for U.S. waters and tides and currents database.
The Nobeltec TimeZero App requires an iPad running iOS6 (iPad 2, iPad with Retina display or iPad mini) with an internal GPS or external Bluetooth GPS that is compatible with the Apple Core Location Service.
The App is free to download and comes with a demo chart for the Miami area, so users can experience our high-quality data. Raster charts and high-resolution satellite photos covering all U.S. waters cost $39.99. Raster charts for other regions cost $49.99
