Flynn Refrigeration Appointed Agent for Nauticool
Press release - Merseyside refrigeration and air-conditioning specialist Flynn has been appointed North West agent for Nauticool to help service its growing number of high-end yachts.
The deal sees the Birkenhead-based firm become the yachting giant’s preferred regional provider of air conditioning products and installation services.
Flynn Refrigeration managing director Alex Flynn said the mutually beneficial move was secured on the back of a strong existing relationship.
“Nauticool was looking for a North West company to carry out a range of supply and installation services on their vessels,” he said. “This includes both annual servicing and an agreement to work on Nauticool’s vessels as and when required. Flynn had already been supplying Nauticool with a range of spares and replacements on a case-by-case basis for more than a year. But a meeting at the Liverpool Boat Show enabled us to build an even stronger working relationship. This highlights the importance of forging and nurturing strong working relationships on the back of a quality service.
Nauticool business development manager Peter Harrison said the Dorset firm has been serving the marine industry since 2000.
“We have worked with Flynn Refrigeration on a number of projects and have always been impressed by their professionalism. This partnership which brings extra resource, experience and expertise will become increasingly important as we continue to witness growing demand across the high-end motor yacht sector.”
With more than 30 years’ experience in the refrigeration and air conditioning sector, Flynn Refrigeration offers the complete supply package - including supply, installation, maintenance and conversion. Refrigeration, air conditioning, compressors and marine controls are among its key product lines.
Alex Flynn said the firm’s extensive stock of standard spares, strong supply chain and partnerships with industry-leading manufacturers ensure customers a fast response – with no compromise on quality. He also pointed to the array of different types of vessels that Flynn supplies.
“Flynn’s portfolio of products includes thousands of new and reconditioned components,” he said. “We also have a tried and tested global network of suppliers, which enables us to supply and install air conditioning systems at short notice. This flexibility is further boosted by our status as an independent supplier.
“Flynn also has extensive experience of supplying and installing products on a wide range of vessels – everything from tug boats to cruise liners. We have both supplied and installed a full air conditioning system on board a super yacht, and provided general maintenance and trouble-shooting work on board a tug boat. In recent months we have also supplied products to leading cruise operators as we continue to target growth in the cruise and leisure industry.”
