Florida Boat Show Rubs Shoulders with Salvador Dali Museum
The St. Petersburg Power & Sailboat Show will once again transform the Progress Energy Center for the Arts Mahaffey Theater Yacht Basin and Albert Whitted Park into the largest in-water boat show on Florida’s Gulf Coast. Now entering its 36th year, the show takes place from Dec. 5 – 8, 2013.
Distinguished from other boat shows by its unique, picturesque location adjacent to the Salvador Dali Museum, which houses the largest collection outside Europe of the works of the renowned artist, the show features an impressive display of powerboats, sailboats, marine electronics and products and an extensive schedule of educational marine seminars and kids fishing clinics presented by the non-profit Hook The Future.
At the Author’s Corner, attendees can enjoy a selection of marine-related books and opportunities to meet authors face-to-face. With refreshments and live musical entertainment along the expansive waterfront area, the show is a vibrant experience of everything marine.
“We are proud to say that this show has been an integral part of the bay area boating community for 36 years,” said Steve Sheer, director of marketing, advertising, and sponsorships with Show Management, the company that co-owns, manages and produces the show. “The marine industry is an important part of the area’s history and lifestyle and each year we strive to bring a fresh and exciting event that the entire community can enjoy.”
