Control Your MegaYacht From an IPad
Unlimited Marine Services, Inc, (UMSI), a full service marine technology company, has announced that their Touch-Screen Automation Technology (T-SAT). The new, customizable monitor matrix system has a number of new features that will take this next generation technology, to a more advanced level.
All the new features are IMO compliant. The main new addition is the ability to control the vessel from an iPad.
Powered by Crestron Electronics, T-SAT allows all video sources to be displayed on any monitor throughout the vessel, and uses touch screen technology to control a variety of onboard equipment, from radar, sonar, sounder, plotting systems, vessel monitoring systems, CCTV cameras to lights, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, shades - even the blinds onboard.
The new features include:
TSAT now has the capability of allowing you to view all your sources individually from your iPad in 1080P resolution. A Captain can walk away from the helm while viewing any source – i.e. cameras, sounder, plotter or radar and stay in control and remain IMO compliant.
Total Control. Using the drag and drop capability, TSAT enables video selection to be repositioned on any monitor. This can be done from one monitor to another, or you can swap two sources at the same time. For speed and total control, T-SAT includes a quick launch menu. From a single monitor, you can manipulate all your functionality from within a smaller screen. Once you’ve viewed what you have needed to see, simply slide it away and move onto the next monitor that requires your attention.
Screen Brilliance – this means that the lighting propensity on the screens can change from dark to light or from light to dark by the touch of a button. You also have the flexibility to increase or dim the individual screens, or collectively, using percentage levels of brightness.
Touch-Screen Monitors – Hatteland 24” X series of touch-screen monitors provide the ultimate interactivity and full HD resolution.
Crestron Graphics User Interface – Integrated Creston’s latest GUIs with monitors create intuitive and eye-catching touch panels.
Annotation - When the Captain has so much to control, read and monitor, having the ability to annotate from one slide to another is a great use of equipment and efficiency. To annotate, simply press the annotation button, pick a monitor, then choose a color and annotate what you want to make a note or bring to the attention for someone else to review e.g. the radar monitor.
Weather and News – Using broadband connectivity on board, our monitors are able to download the latest weather and news reports in real time.
Internet can be launched directly from TSAT at the touch of a finger. Pre-set functionality. The Captain will have his own pre-set monitor configuration when he turns on. Other crew members on board will have their own preferences. With a simple touch, whether you’re at dockside or at sea, whether it’s day or night time, T-SAT pre-configures to your individual requirements.
T-SAT can be installed on an IMO compliant system keeping IMO compliancy intact.
