New Yacht Delivery Service: Delivery Passagemakers
Two experienced USCG licensed Captains based in Rhode Island have teamed up to launch a multi-faceted yacht delivery service. Capt. Bill Madison, with more than 30 years’ experience as a licensed Ocean Master with a 1600-ton (GRT) ticket, and Capt. Mike Martel, with a 100GRT near-coastal license, have partnered to form Delivery Passagemakers, combining their experience, sea-knowledge, and compatible approach to serve boat owners, brokers, and anyone needing a vessel moved from Point “A” to Point “B”.
Carnival Cruise Line Shuffles Ships
A few weeks after Carnival Cruise Line announced plans to move the Carnival Liberty and Breeze to Galveston, the cruise line announced the future homes of the Carnival Triumph, Elation, and Fascination. The moves will take place in 2016. The Carnival Triumph will re-position to New Orleans and join the Carnival Dream in April 2016. Carnival officials say that because a cruise from New Orleans is more than just a cruise. The city itself is an attraction. "People love coming here. They spend a lot of dollars in the city," said Carnival spokeswoman Jennifer de la Cruz.
Banana Coast to Welcome First Mega Cruise Ship
Banana Coast, the newest cruise port in the western Caribbean, is preparing to host its first mega cruise ship call at the deep-water Bay of Trujillo, Honduras. Norwegian Cruise Line's 2,376-passenger Norwegian Jewel is scheduled to arrive Oct. 15, 2014, launching the port's inaugural cruise season with the first of 29 calls. The port is planning a ribbon-cutting ceremony that is slated to include government and community leaders from around the region. Royal Caribbean Announces Winter 2015-16 Schedule
Four of the Regions Largest and Most Innovative Cruise Ships to Sail from Port Everglades and Port Canaveral. The cruise line has announced that Allure of the Seas, Oasis of the Seas, Freedom of the Seas and Serenade of the Seas will sail the Caribbean from convenient Florida homeports for the winter 2015-16 season, which are now open for sale. Sister-ships Allure of the Seas and Oasis of the Seas will offer vacationers still-matched Caribbean cruises in the 2015-16 winter season. Both ships will homeport at Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
