SV Juren Ae (IMO no. 1021245) was delivered to the Marshall Islands Shipping Corporation (MISC) July 31, 2024, a 'low carbon' vessel funded by the International Climate Initiative (IKI), built at Asia Shipbuilding in Geoje City, Korea and classed by KR.SV Juren Ae is a 48-m, 300 dwt supply vessel, the result of a collaborative effort led by the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) through its project 'Transition to Low-Carbon Sea Transport in the Republic of the Marshall Islands' for the German Ministry for the Environment…

Blohm+Voss Strengthens Team

Blohm+Voss has appointed Jean-Gabriel Tridon as General Manager and Dieter Pladeck as Finance Director for its new maintenance and refit facility in La Ciotat in the south of France. The company has filled the two management positions only two weeks after winning the local tender of La Ciotat Shipyards for the setting up of the new site. In La Ciotat, Blohm+Voss will focus on the maintenance and refit of megayachts of over 80 meters in length. Underwater Lounge Concept Wins Dutch Award

One of the top national maritime awards in the Netherlands has been won by a student working on his thesis project with us at Feadship De Voogt Naval Architects. Big congratulations are due to Victor Verhulst for his design for the exciting Ocean View underwater lounge concept. Victor is a student at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences and – as part of our investment in the future of marine education – we were delighted to welcome him to the Feadship De Voogt offices in Haarlem to work on his thesis.
