New Cat Ferry MV Tricia for Transperth Fleet

A new passenger ferry built by Dongara Marine has been introduced to the public transport system in Perth, Western Australia. MV Tricia  - named after Perth Zoo's popular 62-year-old Asian Elephant - is the third ferry in the Transperth fleet, joining two other low-wash catamarans introduced in 1997 and 2009. Arneson Surface Drives Enhanced with Master Trim

Twin Disc, manufacturer of technologically advanced marine transmissions, has announced an expansion to its line of Arneson Surface Drives. Twin Disc Dubuts Technologies at FLIBS

Twin Disc will introduce three new products at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, November 3–7. Twin Disc's  e-Steer Electronic Steering System provides a bold, new approach to marine steering. Avoiding the pitfalls of traditional hydraulic setups, the electronic helm is connected to the hydraulic-powered rudder(s) via wires, reducing leaks and loss of steerage. The e-Steer system features Speed Sensing technology. This provides helmsmen adaptive resistance, so the helm is firmer when at full throttle and lighter when maneuvering slowly.

Digital Thruster Panel for Smooth Docking

Twin Disc announces its new Digital Thruster Panel. The unit complements the company's EC300 Power Commander electronic propulsion control and Express Joystick System (EJS). Built of polished stainless steel, the Digital Thruster Panel is engineered rugged for a marine environment, making it suitable for helms, flybridges and docking stations.
