Cox Powertrain Appoints Asian Distributor
British diesel outboard manufacturer Cox Powertrain has signed an agreement with SoungJin Marine Co. Ltd. to act as distributor for its 300hp diesel outboard engine in South Korea.SoungJin Marine Co. Ltd has over 30 years‘ in distributing outboard motors and boat accessories. The South Korean company is the first Asian distributor to be confirmed by Cox Powertrain."We are delighted to have secured the contract and becoming the first Asian distributor for the most innovative diesel outboard engine in the world," said SoungJin Marine Co. Moscow demands N.Korea's explanation on Russian Yacht Detention
A North Korean coast guard ship has detained a Russian yacht with a crew of five people on board, Russia's Foreign Ministry said on Saturday, adding it had sent a note to Pyongyang demanding explanation for the cause of the detention. The yacht was on its way from South Korea's port city of Pusan to Vladivostok in Russia's Far East when it was detained 80 miles (129 km) off the coast in North Korea's exclusive economic zone on Friday, the ministry said, giving no further detail. 300 Missing After Korean Ferry Capsizes
Almost 300 people were missing after a ferry capsized off South Korea on Wednesday, despite frantic rescue efforts involving coastguard vessels, fishing boats and helicopters, in what could be the country's biggest maritime disaster in over 20 years. The ferry was carrying 459 people, of whom 164 have been rescued, coastguard officials said.
