The Coast Guard is continuing its search for two overdue boaters from Panama City, Fla. USCG Warns On Negligence At Sea
After terminating the voyage of a 30-foot pleasure vessel near Lake Lauderdale by the Sea, Florida, USA, the USCG has again warned of the hazards of recreational sailors being unaware of their surroundings and conditions and thereby posing a danger to themselves and others at sea. Coast Guard Searching for 3 people Near Lake Worth Inlet
The Coast Guard and Palm Beach Sheriff's Office is searching for three people aboard a boat taking on water near Lake Worth Beach Tuesday. At approximately, 2:07 a.m., the three people aboard the boat notified Coast Guard Sector Miami watchstanders via VHF-FM channel 16 marine band radio they were taking on water. The watchstanders directed the launch of Coast Guard Air Station Miami MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew and a Station Miami 45-foot Response Boat—Medium boatcrew along with PBSO to assist.
Man Rescued from Sinking Vessel near West Palm Beach
The U.S. Coast Guard said it rescued a man from a vessel taking on water Monday approximately 10 miles east of West Palm Beach, Fla. Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Miami received a notification from a good Samaritan of a vessel taking on water with one person aboard. Watchstanders diverted the Coast Guard cutter Cochito crew. They arrived on scene at approximately 3:30 p.m. and medevaced the man via smallboat to the Revere Beach Fire Rescue due to him suffering from a possible chemical reaction.
