New Hong Kong Superyacht Center

There's a new home for Superyacht care in Hong Kong, as China pins its hopes on a strong and growing maritime industry.Hong Kong Cruise and Yacht Industry Association (HKCYIA) has reached a partnership agreement with the China Merchants Industry Holdings Co. Ltd. for the establishment of the Hong Kong’s first Superyacht Management Services Center in Tsing Yi. RINA Expands Luxury Mega Yacht Services

Two luxury yachts recently received the final stamp to join the fleet classified by RINA, a classification company in the Middle East. To celebrate the event a reception was held during Dubai Boat Show on March 2, which was attended by major players in the yacht sector. One of the vessels named DUBAI, classed as a luxury mega yacht, is 162m long. The vessel was designed by Winch Design and will sail under the UAE flag. DUBAI is ranked as being the third largest and most luxurious mega yacht in the world today. The second vessel classed by RINA is QUATTROELLE, an 86m yacht.

RINA Launches Yacht Marina Certification

International certification company RINA Services has launched a new certification scheme for yacht marinas. The MaRINA Excellence scheme focuses on the quality of the marina, sustainability and risk prevention. Marinas and dedicated yacht harbors are a key part of the tourist infrastructure. RINA has always placed great importance on environmental and sustainability issues. In the field of marinas it provides services that are indispensable for reducing the environmental impact of facilities.

Wood Forever Pact: New Criteria for RINA Green Plus Yacht

A Monaco yacht show dedicated to the Green philosophy through numerous initiatives aimed at boosting environmental awareness in the world of pleasure craft. On Saturday 28 September, aboard the 55-meter Ocean Paradise built by Benetti shipyards, an event was held which left a notable green footprint on the decks of the super yachts: leading classification company RINA Services and the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation joined forces to promote the sustainable use of wood in the yachting industry.

RINA, Russian Register Join Forces on Yachts and Ice Class

RINA Group’s certification company, RINA Services (RINA), and the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS) have agreed to cooperate on specific projects where each society has complementary strengths. Initial cooperation will focus on yachts and ice class. RINA will use its expertise with yachts, pleasure craft and passenger vessels to help RS approve specific projects for yachts and passenger vessels which may operate in Russian waters or under the Russian flag, and RS will help RINA to meet the needs of some of its clients for Arctic navigation and offshore operations, especially with respect to ice class and winterization.

RINA and Drydocks World Team Up

The RINA Group has entered a framework agreement to supply certification and engineering services to UAE-based Drydocks World - Dubai (LLC). Under an MOU signed in Rome (Italy) today Drydocks World will draw on RINA Group's field of expertise to deliver assistance on project management and ship’s classification and certification for a number of projects including floating hotels, mega yachts, special project vessels, underwater units and warships. The MoU was signed in the presence of H.E. Ms. Datin Paduka Halimah Abdullah, Ambassador of Malaysia to Rome, Mr.
