In line with its “Bridge to Propeller” strategy for maritime applications, the business unit Power Systems of Rolls-Royce has expanded its yacht portfolio.This includes new bridge and automation solutions from specialist Team Italia Marine, which Rolls-Royce acquired in July 2023. Already today, numerous shipyards for motor yachts between 30 and 100 meters in length rely on integrated bridge and automation solutions from the new Italian subsidiary, especially Italian yacht builders who occupy a prominent position on the international market.

The 108 m long yacht IJE, built at the Italian shipyard Benetti and recently handed over to its owner, features propulsion solutions from SCHOTTEL. One electrically driven SCHOTTEL Pump Jet type SPJ 132 (500 kW) provides maximum maneuverability. MTU Brings Latest Propulsion Systems to Cannes and Monaco

Rolls-Royce is showing off its latest state-of-the-art propulsion systems and service solutions from MTU for motor and sailing yachts at this year’s yacht shows in Cannes and Monaco. At the Festival de la Plaisance in Cannes, which takes place from September 12 to 17, MTU will be presenting a new close-to-production prototype hybrid system based on its 16-cylinder Series 2000 engine on Stand Jetee 179. The focus will also be on models of the Pininfarina bridge components and MTU’s Premium Yacht Service.

Mercury Diesel 6.7L Engine Family Unveiled

Mercury Marine has unveiled the new Mercury Diesel 6.7L midrange engine family. The new electronic, common-rail engines will be offered with three power levels:  480hp, 500hp and 550hp. Caterpillar Debuts New Display in Miami

Caterpillar Marine launched the next generation Cat Marine 5-inch display for the marine market, joining the recently-introduced 7” and 13” smart displays designed to integrate seamlessly with the high-end yacht bridges.
