MS EUROPA 2 Meets Breakdancing

Guests on board the luxury ship EUROPA 2 will to be enchanted by a unique performance that blends breakdancing and classical music. The internationally renowned “Flying Steps” dance group will make their EUROPA 2 debut in July, and will perform their dynamic “Flying Bach” show on a cruise that started yesterday in Monte Carlo, cruising the Mediterranean Sea to Palma de Mallorca. Under the artistic direction of Vartan Bassil, this breakdancing group from Berlin’s Kreuzberg district has become a network of over 30 world-class athletes who have danced their way to international success.

Superyacht Success for Fleet Xpress

Inmarsat has achieved the first commitment to its Fleet Xpress service by a superyacht owner just weeks after commercial launch in a deal secured through Inmarsat distributor e3 Systems. The deal represents a major achievement for the service with an existing customer, establishing a position for Fleet Xpress in the highest of high-end markets. Inmarsat-approved Fleet Xpress hardware was installed on sail yacht Juliet at the beginning of May, bringing new era Fleet Xpress connectivity on board the Ron Holland-designed, 44m ketch built by Royal Huisman Shipyard in The Netherlands.

World Travelers will not need to trek out to New York City to catch Quantum of the Seas, the most anticipated cruise ship to-date. The ship will come to them. Royal Caribbean International has announced the details of the Quantum Global Odyssey, a 53-night epic journey, departing May 2, 2015, from the New York-metropolitan area to its new home in Shanghai (Baoshan), China. Quantum of the Seas will take its never-before-seen-at-sea experience globally to savvy vacationers after the ship’s inaugural winter season in New York from Nov. 2014 through Apr. 2015.

ISS GMT has announced the opening of its new office in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. Placed at the heart of the Mallorcan yachting community, the office is conveniently located in office 10 inside the Global Building at STP, one of the largest superyacht facilities in Europe for refit and maintenance. Pirate Ship 'Black Pearl' Embarks on Piggy-Back Voyage

Yacht Path Marine Group were contracted to transport the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' 140-ft replica tall ship across two oceans. The 270-ton, 140-foot custom-build pirate ship 'Black Pearl', was loaded aboard a BBC heavy lift vessel in Barbers Point, Hawaii for the three-week voyage to St. Thomas, USVI. The replica pirate ship "Black Pearl" was most famously known for her role in Disney's blockbuster 'Pirates of the Caribbean' franchise, and was constructed over the hull of another vessel, the "Sunset", which was once used to service the oil fields in the Gulf of Mexico.
