French customs have seized a yacht belonging to Rosneft boss Igor Sechin as it tried to leave the Mediterranean port of La Ciotat in a breach of EU sanctions on Russian oligarchs, Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire said.The move came as western states are implementing massive sanctions, including asset freezes, against Russia for invading its neighbor Ukraine. Historic Dutch Bridge to Make Way for Superyacht Reportedly Built for Jeff Bezos
The city of Rotterdam has agreed to remove a section of historic bridge in the Netherlands to make way for a superyacht, reportedly built for Amazon.com founder Jeff Bezos.A spokesperson for the city of Rotterdam said the mid-section of the century-old "Koningshavenbrug," know by locals as "De Hef", will be removed this summer to make way for a yacht with 40-metre (131-ft) masts, but declined to comment on who owns the ship.Rotterdam broadcaster Rijnmond reported that the yacht is owned by Jeff Bezos. Officials at yacht builder Oceanco did not respond to requests for comment.

Oceanco's Jubilee Honored
Oceanco’s 110 meter motoryacht Jubilee has won the 2018 International Yacht and Aviation Award for the Best Power Yacht Design in the over 80 meter category.With exterior styling by Lobanov Design and interior by Sorgiovanni Design, Jubilee is the largest yacht ever built by Oceanco, and was also the largest yacht ever built in the Netherlands at the time of her launch. ABB’s Azipod for superyacht Tuhura
ABB’s Azipod propulsion will power Oceanco’s visionary superyacht inspired by Polynesian canoes and outfitted with the latest technology. Perfectly suited to the canoe form, ABB’s contra-rotating Azipod technology achieves a 10 percent propulsion efficiency improvement. The ABB technology has become the industry standard in the cruise segment since its launch in 1990. Tuhura made waves on its launch by Dutch superyacht builder Oceanco at last month’s Dubai International Boat Show 2018. Oceanco’s visionary vessel has been conceived in collaboration with the Lobanov Design Studio, naval architect BMT Nigel Gee and interior designer Achille Salvagni.
Oceanco Contract to RH Marine
World-class superyacht builder Oceanco has awarded RH Marine with the contract for the electrical & automation system integration and overall electrical system responsibility of Oceanco’s new 100+ meter yacht. Both parties consider this collaboration to be the start of a productive long-term partnership. RH Marine is responsible for the delivery of the complete electrical & automation system. Compositeworks Opens Office in Antibes
Compositeworks, a shipyard specializing in superyacht and megayacht refits in La Ciotat and La Rochelle, has opened a new office in Antibes. This decision follows the acquisition of the Atlantic Refit Center last September and is a result of continued strong growth across every sector of activity, from emergency repairs and planned maintenance to major superyacht refits involving complex transformations, the shipyard said. The new location also brings commercial services closer to clients, many of whom are based in the Antibes & Monaco area.

Oceanco’s newly built mega yacht Jubilee, with exterior styling by Lobanov Design, grand interior by Sorgiovanni Designs and owner’s representation by Burgess, is the largest yacht ever built in The Netherlands. At 110m length over all, 16.4m beam and just over 4,500 GT, the head-turning yacht has a sleek and original elongated profile that flows elegantly from bow to stern; with no fewer than six decks, her progressively longer horizontal lines make Jubilee distinctive. Oceanco Delivers First Superyacht of 2015
Oceanco delivered the first superyacht of 2015 today, the 291-foot (89 meter) INFINITY. Built under the code name Y710, the yacht features an exterior design by Espen Øino and an interior design by Sinot Exclusive Yacht Design and David Kleinberg Design Associates. INFINITY is a go-anywhere yacht powered by twin 4,828hp / 3,600kW MTU engines capable of reaching speeds of 20 knots. The yacht has a master suite that includes a private exterior deck and whirlpool, and can also accommodate 10 guests in 6 guest suites, including 2 VIP cabins.
