MarineMax Miami Names Gonzalez General Manager

MarineMax announced Christian Gonzalez has been named the new General Manager of the MarineMax Miami stores.Gonzalez will be directing both the MarineMax Miami store located at 700 Northeast 79th Street and the new location at the Miami Beach Marina.Gonzalez joined MarineMax in the Service Department in 2001 and was quickly promoted to Assistant Service Manager. In 2012 Gonzalez accepted the Sales Manager position at Intrepid Powerboats and within a short time was promoted to Vice President of Sales.

Caterpillar showcases Cat C7.1 Engine

Caterpillar Marine is showcasing its Cat C7.1 Propulsion Engine at the 2017 Yachts Miami Beach show. Available in three ratings: 507 mhp (373 bkW), 456 mhp (336 bkW) and 406 mhp (298 bkW), all at 2900 rpm, all C7.1 power ratings meet EPA Tier 3, IMO II, EU Recreational Craft Directive and EU Stage IIIA regulations. The National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) presented an Innovation Award to Volvo Penta for its new Forward Drive (FWD) propulsion system in the Alternate Drive Technology category at the 2015 Miami International Boat Show today.
