Pioneering Innovative Electric Propulsion

MTU Brings Latest Propulsion Systems to Cannes and Monaco

Rolls-Royce is showing off its latest state-of-the-art propulsion systems and service solutions from MTU for motor and sailing yachts at this year’s yacht shows in Cannes and Monaco. At the Festival de la Plaisance in Cannes, which takes place from September 12 to 17, MTU will be presenting a new close-to-production prototype hybrid system based on its 16-cylinder Series 2000 engine on Stand Jetee 179. The focus will also be on models of the Pininfarina bridge components and MTU’s Premium Yacht Service.

Ole Evinrude Memorial Dedication Unveiled

BRP announced that its Evinrude brand will dedicate a memorial to the legacy of Ole Evinrude at a June 23 ceremony that will include the unveiling of a plaque to be placed on a bridge over Okauchee Lake in Oconomowoc, Wisc. “Ole Evinrude not only invented the outboard engine on Okauchee Lake in 1909, he invented an industry that we still cherish today,” said Christopher Berg, global director of marketing and strategic planning, Evinrude. “This was his home, the place which fueled his spirit of innovation and the birthplace of the Evinrude brand which continues to thrive over a century later.

BRP to Unveil New Outboards at Club Evinrude

BRP announced that its next Club Evinrude event will be held on Sunday, June 26, 2016, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. “We wowed the Milwaukee crowd at our last Club in 2014 when we unveiled a new era of outboard engine technology, Evinrude E-TEC G2. BRP Adds 72 New Evinrude Dealers

BRP continues its expansion of the Evinrude sales network by signing 20 new Evinrude dealers in the final quarter of fiscal 2016. This brings the yearly total to 72 new North American dealers partnered with BRP in 2016, a clear indication of the excitement surrounding the Evinrude brand and the continued momentum of its industry-leading Evinrude E-TEC G2 engines. During the past fiscal year, BRP added 16 premium OEM boat builders to its portfolio. ZF Marine's Stanley Takes on Dual Role

ZF Marine Propulsion Systems Miramar LLC  said that Keith Stanley has assumed the position of Product Line Manager – Pleasure Craft for North and Central America. Stanley joined ZF in 2011 as Key Account Manager, and he was promoted to Engineering Manager in 2012, with responsibility for application engineering activities for the region. In his new role, Stanley will have responsibility for both activities. Stanley has a long history of experience in the pleasure craft industry. Originally from North Carolina, Stanley completed his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at NC State.
