Satcom: Intellian Expands XEO Series

Intellian expanded its XEO Series, a Ku/Ka electronically switching dual-band multi-orbit VSAT antennas, with the addition of the X100D and X150D. The XEO Series were first unveiled in March 2022 at the Satellite Show, leading to Intellian’s design of the X100D, available later this month, and the X150D, launching in early Q3 2023.According to the company, the XEO Series are the world’s first commercially available Ka/Ku-band through a single feed, electronically switchable, multi-orbit antennas, making them ideal for customers requiring high-bandwidth, availability and maximum agility.

Intellian Inks SatCom Deal with Speedcast

Satellite communications technology solutions provider Intellian announced a multimillion-dollar, multi-year partnership agreement with satellite communications service provider Speedcast, enabling the companies to collaborate in serving multiple markets with satellite connectivity, including the maritime and energy sectors.As part of the agreement, Intellian will continue to provide equipment to Speedcast as a preferred supplier, ensuring delivery to meet customer needs, despite volatile supply chain constraints.

New Intellian Antenna aims to Improve Live TV Reception on Vessels

Intellian Technologies announced its new t-Series and s-Series antennas to enhance the live television (TV) experience for those onboard maritime vessels.The new t-Series antennas, available from September onwards, will leverage improved technology to elevate the user and customer experience. Featuring an upgrade to Intellian’s trademarked WorldView Technology (WLNB), it is designed to enabel seamless television viewing onboard anywhere in the world as vessels travel between regional services.The four new models of the t-Series - t85N, t100N, t130N, t150N - range from 85cm up to 150cm.

New Compact VSAT from Intellian

Intellian announced the v45C, the smallest antenna the company has yet developed for the maritime satellite communications market. The C in the product name represents its compact form factor: this new 45cm unit will bring VSAT to new markets where there is limited space available for communications equipment, such as workboats, leisure craft, fishing boats, small commercial and government vessels.Intellian's recent launches have focused on enhancing user experience and capabilities with smaller VSAT solutions; first with the 60cm v60E antenna launched last year, and now the v45C.

SATCOM: Intellian Antennas get type approval from Telenor

Intellian announed that two of its  antenna systems, the v60Ka 2 and v100NX Ka, have gained type approval from Telenor Satellite for use on their THOR 7 Ka-band GEO satellite network. This means that the systems are now officially certified to take their place in service alongside Intellian’s v85NX, the first 85cm antenna to receive type approval on the network.The Intellian v100NX Ka is "future-proofed" according to the manufacturer, with a specially-tuned radome and reflector in anticipation of forthcoming 2.5GHz wideband Ka network services.

Intellian Launches Next Gen Tri-band Product

Intellian announced the launch of its next generation tri-band product, the v240MT Gen-II antenna. Developed from the tri-band v240MT,  the new product adds many features, including the ability to operate multiple antennas via its dual data center capability, and enhanced Ku-band performance.The ability to switch between C-, Ku-, and Ka-bands, and between GEO, MEO and LEO orbits, makes the v240MT Gen-II truly vendor agnostic and allows customers to select the best and most economical provider at any time, without hardware modifications. The device is also modem agnostic.

Intellian Launches v130NX

Intellian released the latest model in its new NX Series VSAT antenna portfolio. The v130NX is reported to be the world’s first Ku-Ka convertible VSAT terminal with a 1.25-m reflector, qualifying it for high-speed global Internet on ships, offshore vessels and superyachts.v130NX is a flexible system supporting Ku-band and Ka-band (2.5 GHz Wide) networks. It is also compatible with GEO (Geostationary Earth Orbit), MEO (Medium Earth Orbit) and LEO (Low Earth Orbit) constellations.

GVF, Intellian Launch Certification for Marine SatCom Operators

In response to strong demand for satellite-based maritime connectivity, Global VSAT Forum (GVF) and Intellian have launched an Intellian Specialist Certification programme, including an initial course in terminal operation, GVF 562N, specifically for seafarers. Intellian, manufacturer of stabilized communications platforms, has launched Specialist Certification programme GVF 562N for seafarers working with its marine stabilised VSAT terminals, including an initial course in terminal operation. Follow-on courses, intended for field technicians, will cover stabilized platform installation and maintenance.

Intellian to Debut New Satellite TV Antenna

The latest product to join Intellian’s i-Series antenna range, the i5P, will be unveiled at the METSTRADE exhibition November 17-19 in Amsterdam. Intellian, a producer of maritime satellite communication antenna technology, will display the newest addition to its TVRO portfolio during this year’s METSTRADE show. The all-new i5P creates a new size category of marine satellite TV systems. The system allows inland and coastal craft across Europe as well as vessels in the Mediterranean cruise sector to travel further and experience higher performance with a smaller antenna, according to the manufacturer.

Unlimited Marine Named Dealer for Intellian

Unlimited Marine Services, Inc. (UMSI), a Southern Florida marine electronics provider, has been selected to be a dealer for Intellian Technologies, a manufacturer of marine satellite antennas. UMSI President, James Porreca said, “Becoming a dealer for Intellian Technologies is something I have thought about for some time. The opening of the Intellian new offices in Fort Lauderdale appealed as it will enable me to receive local support and training for my staff. I am also impressed with the three year warranty for parts and one year for labor”.

Intellian Adds Range to i-Series TVRO Antenna

Intellian launched the i6D Ku-band TVRO antenna with integrated dual feed horn, enabling vessels to change channel without manually switching between the Astra 1 and Astra 3 satellites, providing reception in Europe. The dual feed horn enables access from the two satellites as the i6D watches the Astra 1 and Astra 3 satellites simultaneously and has multiple receivers that can watch different channels, so the user can switch channels and immediately view the program selected without delay. Intellian Introduces Aptus VSAT Software

Intellian Debuted Aptus, a new graphical interface based PC software for monitoring and control of Intellian VSAT antennas. Aptus PC software is compatible with all Intellian VSAT antennas and can also be used on the 3-Axis TVRO system and is connected via the onboard network. Straightforward IP connection over the Internet from anywhere in the world and set-up, coupled with the antenna status reporting helps to increase the performance of the antenna as well as debug the system.
