Kymeta, e3 Systems Perform First Superyacht Sea Trials
Kymeta, together with exclusive superyacht distribution partner e3 Systems, revealed that the superyacht White Rose of Drachs has been performing the first-ever motor yacht sea trials with Kymeta communications solutions over the last several months with successful results. The two companies worked with the owner, captain and IT manager of the White Rose to perform the months-long sea trial, and outfitted the yacht with four Kymeta KyWay terminals. MTU Brings Latest Propulsion Systems to Cannes and Monaco
Rolls-Royce is showing off its latest state-of-the-art propulsion systems and service solutions from MTU for motor and sailing yachts at this year’s yacht shows in Cannes and Monaco. At the Festival de la Plaisance in Cannes, which takes place from September 12 to 17, MTU will be presenting a new close-to-production prototype hybrid system based on its 16-cylinder Series 2000 engine on Stand Jetee 179. The focus will also be on models of the Pininfarina bridge components and MTU’s Premium Yacht Service.
Northern Lights, HUG Engineering Partner on Clean Power
Marine generator sets manufacturer Northern Lights, Inc. (NLI) has formed a partnership with exhaust after-treatment equipment manufacturer HUG Engineering to provide complete IMO III certified clean air power generation solutions. The new partnership will allow customers to purchase Northern Lights’ line of marine generator sets and HUG’s selective catalytic NOx reduction (SCR) systems or particle filter (DPF) systems as one completely integrated solution. This engineered solution is fully IMO III Certified and meets the stringent performance and packaging requirements of the maritime industry.
