Mercury Marine Opens New Global Distribution Center in Indiana
Mercury Marine opened its new, purpose-built distribution center to support its parts and accessories business. Godfrey Marine Breaks Ground on Expanded Manufacturing Facility
Godfrey Marine, manufacturer of Godfrey pontoon boats and Hurricane deck boats, innovator in versatile deck boat designs, announced it has expanded its manufacturing facility in Elkhart, Indiana. Members of the Greater Elkhart Chamber of Commerce joined in the celebration on May 10 with ceremonial shovels to break ground.The new facilities include a 27,000 square foot warehouse and an automation wing. The warehouse will enable 30% growth in production, while the automation wing creates space to add innovative technology for pontoon tube production.

C&C Yachts Adds New Dealer
C&C Yachts announced that Karma Yacht Sales (KYS), based in Chicago, will be the newest addition to their growing dealer network. KYS will cover the Western Great Lakes region including the states of Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Missouri and Tennessee. First Person: Whales & ROVs in Patagonia
Several years ago I found myself on a tourist boat that carries out whale watching tours in Península de Valdés, Patagonia, Argentina. This location became famous over the last 30 years, due to the massive yearly encounter of the southern right whales (Eubalena australis) during their mating and birth period from May to December. The southern right whale got its name due to the friendly behavior and the fact that they float when the animal is dead. This was the ‘right’ whale to chase.
