Alewijnse Completes Electrical Install for New Superyacht

Maritime electrical and automation solutions integrator Alewijnse said it has completed the electrical installations on board the first two Amels 60s from the new 60-meter Amels Limited Editions design.Its role involved supplying and installing the entire electrical scope for the first Amels 60 COME TOGETHER and part of the electrical scope for the second Amels 60 ENTOURAGE - with the exception of the supply of the AV/IT system on the second yacht. A Cornish company is planning a completely new development in electric marine vessels, with the help of a Rapid Innovation Grant from Marine-i.Whiskerstay Ltd is based in Falmouth and was set up three years ago by Dr. Rachel Nicholls-Lee, who is a naval architect with a background in yacht design and marine renewables. MTU Unveils Hybrid Propulsion System at SMM

Hamburg in September can only be the marina extravaganza that is SMM. The trade fair brought together around 50,000 industry visitors from more than 120 countries who could wander around 13 halls featuring over 2000 exhibitors. New MTU Hybrid Propulsion Systems Introduced

As of 2020, Rolls-Royce will launch a range of completely integrated MTU hybrid ship propulsion systems onto the market. MTU Brings Latest Propulsion Systems to Cannes and Monaco

Rolls-Royce is showing off its latest state-of-the-art propulsion systems and service solutions from MTU for motor and sailing yachts at this year’s yacht shows in Cannes and Monaco. At the Festival de la Plaisance in Cannes, which takes place from September 12 to 17, MTU will be presenting a new close-to-production prototype hybrid system based on its 16-cylinder Series 2000 engine on Stand Jetee 179. The focus will also be on models of the Pininfarina bridge components and MTU’s Premium Yacht Service.
