Suntex Marina Investors, LLC (Suntex) announced the acquisition of Hurricane Marina, located on Center Hill Lake in Silver Point, Tennessee. With the change in ownership, Hurricane Marina received a new 25-year lease with the United States Army Corps of Engineers and also extended the lease of the existing restaurant tenant, Blue Water Grille. Hurricane Marina lies on a natural, protected harbor approximately 70 miles east of Nashville, and consists of 600 wet slips (48 of which were built in 2015), 40 personal watercraft slips and 25 enclosed boathouse slips.
Marine Travelift Launches New Marine Forklift
Marine Travelift continues to grow their Hydro M_Drive marine forklift lineup with the delivery of a new M2300HS (23,000 lbs. equivalent capacity) to Lands End Marina in Apollo Beach, FL. The new Hydro M_Drive with short wheelbase joins an older 1998 Marine Travelift M2000 already on site. Hall Marine was founded in the mid 1970’s by Rod and Fran Hall. With fiscal 2016 revenue exceeding $50 million, Hall Marine is one of the largest privately-owned boat dealers in the Southeast. Hall Marine operates through six locations covering the following markets: Charlotte, North Carolina; Lake Wylie, Greenville, Columbia and Charleston, South Carolina; and Savannah, Georgia.
