Feadship Launches Fuel Cell Superyacht

Feadship's has launched a hydrogen fuel cell superyacht at its Amsterdam shipyard.Designed by RWD and with owners’ representation by Edmiston, Feadship's approach is designed to enable the vessel to cruise between harbors or anchorages and to operate the yacht's hotel load and amenities with emission-free power from green hydrogen.Feadship has pledged to develop net zero yachts by 2030. "The aim has been to develop a new, clean technology not just for this project, but for the world," said Jan-Bart Verkuyl, Feadship Director / CEO Royal Van Lent Shipyard.

Evinrude E-TEC Engines Now Australian Compliant

BRP announced today its Evinrude E-TEC engines are compliant to new Australian emissions standards. Australian exhaust emissions standards for outdoor power equipment and marine engines were finalized in December, 2017. The standards will be phased in to allow the industry time to transition.As of July 1, 2018, new high polluting outdoor power equipment and marine engines, such as conventional carbureted two-stroke outboard engines, can no longer be imported into Australia. By July 1, 2019 only clean-technology outdoor power equipment andmarine engines can be supplied to the Australian market.

Superyacht Diesel Engine Soot Filter Orders for LiqTech

US-headquartered LiqTech International says it has has received a new $450,000 order for Diesel Particulate Filters (DPF) from Emigreen B.V. Netherland, a firm that is expert in the emission control of industrial combustion engines. By integrating LiqTech's DPF products with the generator/engine set, 99.98% of soot particulates can be removed.
