Sea Hawk Paints Adds New Distributor

Sea Hawk said Paxton Company is its newest authorized distributor servicing the company’s wholesale marine customers from facilities in Virginia and North Carolina. With products being in stock since mid-December, Paxton is already providing customers with Sea Hawk’s portfolio of premium quality antifouling paints, primers and marine coating products.“Through the last several months of developing a relationship, it’s easy to see that Paxton is an ideal addition to the Sea Hawk family of distributors,” said Tommy Craft, Sea Hawk Vice President of Sales.

MARCOM Opens Florida Service Center

With the recent opening of its new service station in Florida, Trinidad & Tobago based MARCOM says it is ready to expand service assistance and faster coordination of spare parts to customers whose vessels call ports in the Caribbean, Central and South America and the Southeastern U.S.MARCOM was  founded  in 2004 by a team of marine electronic engineers, legal advisers, economists and master mariners who came together to offer sales and services to the marine electronics industry.

Iconic Schooner Fitted With Pollution-free Bearings

Nova Scotia’s sailing ambassador, 'Bluenose II', fitted with Thordon Bearings' water-lubricated stern tube & rudder bearings. Nova Scotia’s sailing ambassador, the Bluenose II, relaunched September 29, 2012 in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia fitted with pollution-free water lubricated stern tube and rudder bearings. The extensive two-year $15.9 million restoration work was done by the Lunenburg Shipyard Alliance, made up of Covey Island Boat Works, Snyder's Shipyard and Lunenburg Industrial Foundry & Engineering.
